I'm obsessed with the sensuality and ferocity of the natural world - fungal soils and wildfire smoke. My work incorporates lush images of chaos and creation, in cycles of fertility and decay. Influenced by surrealism, botanical art and Pre-Raphaelite styles of nature painting and symbolism, I paint these sugarcoated yet sinister fantasies in oils, layering glazes for depth and richness.
